He is. He is a very good and gentle boy. He has broken one of our rules though, now that he is sleeping here – of course he crows at 5am but I am trying to talk my husband into ignoring the crowing.
That reminds me of my first rooster, what beautiful coloring! Roosters crow in response to the environment, so if you can figure out the trigger for his crow at 5 am (light? a particular noise? visiting animal?), you can change his behavior. 😉 The only crow I can’t successfully “alter” is the danger crow – which alerts the flock to a predator threat.

That rooster looks to be taking very good care of his flock.

5 am would be a luxury. My new adopted cat wakes up at 4:30, hungry and ready to play. The battle lines are drawn, who will win do you suppose?
