chooks, hens or chickens?

Partridge Wyandotte Bantam Mama’s back is a safe place to sit

Ever since the chicks were a few days old, Mama Hen’s back has been a favourite place for them to sit and watch the world go by.

Now the chicks are four weeks old, Mama Hen is not quite as patient with these big kids sitting on her back.

So a slight raise off the ground of Mama Hen’s chest, the big chick goes sliding off.

  1. They have gotten so big! I had forgotten how fast they grow. Love Mom’s trick to literally “get them off her back.” Can’t wait to see the next pics. Merry Christmas! Patti

  2. How can they keep getting cuter – it’s a Christmas miracle 🙂 Really great photos.

  3. Aw, geez. I love these little guys!

  4. Thank you for the comments. I don’t really think they are getting cuter, just some lucky shots. (But definitely huger 🙂 )
With me being off work and when there is no one around to see how crazy I am, I spend quite a looong time with the camera pointed at the chicks. So much so that they are getting quite used to it (and me).

  5. Great photography!
